What A Ride - FM Firms Hurtle To New Beginnings

The Museum of London haw awarded ABM UK a four-year contract at its London Wall, Docklands and Hackney-based sites.   

The total contract value is £2.4 million over the term, with the option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years.  ABM UK will supply the Museum of London's three locations with seven staff members, who will provide planned preventative maintenance and reactive works, with a specific focus on mechanical, technical, plumbing and building fabric maintenance. 

ABM will also provide the Museum with an energy manager, who will be based on site at the three locations for two days per week. The energy manager’s role will be to ensure that the three properties' energy usage remains as efficient as possible to maximise operating cost savings.?ABM will support the Museum of London’s education of young talent through apprenticeship placements throughout the contract term including a a part-time apprentice working alongside the endergy manager.

 

London South Bank University

Churchill London has won a new £6 million cleaning, waste and window cleaning contract at London South Bank University.

The three-year deal started in September, with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Previously managed by two separate suppliers, Churchill London has been tasked with transforming the operation and instilling a ’One Team‘ approach. Churchill will provide services at the Southwark and Havering campuses, which is attended by eighteen thousand students (full and part-time), as well as employing nearly two thousand academic and support staff.

 

Anglian Water

Imtech Inviron has been awarded a three year contract extension (on top of 20 years) with water utilities company, Anglian Water, with work now continuing to summer 2020. Imtech Inviron will continue to provide electrical services, including periodic testing and general electrical works, across over 7,000 locations.

Sites include a mix of recycling works, pumping stations, supply works, booster stations, reservoirs and water towers across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Roger Daniels, Electrical Maintenance Manager at Anglian Water: "The close working partnership we have with the dedicated team has led to the identification and implementation of a number of improvements and cost solutions throughout the continuous yet evolved programme of works. We expect the same level of service during the next three years."

 

NIC secures Yorkshire Water deal

NIC Services Group has been awarded a new contract to deliver services to Yorkshire Water buildings.

 

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council contract

Serco Leisure has successfully secured a five-year extension to its contract with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to manage three major leisure sites in the Borough in partnership with Basingstoke and Deane Community Leisure Trust. As part of the extension, the pair will upgrade the existing facilities at all three sites as well as introducing a range of new features designed to meet the changing needs of the local community. Planned improvements include:  Installing a gym at Tadley Pool; adding an 18 hole family adventure golf course at Basingstoke Golf course; and refurbishing the gym and studio at the Basingstoke Aquadrome.

 

Signature name signed-off

Mitie is to call its front of house business, Signature. The business provides a range of services including reception, telephony, and AV support.

 

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust has appointed Sodexo as its new soft services provider. The three year contract, due to start in January 2018, will see Sodexo provide cleaning services to the Trust’s community sites as well as patient dining and retail services at Springfield and Tolworth hospitals.
