Vinci Wins £4.5m Contract

A £1.5 million per annum contract to provide planned, reactive maintenance and project works to Affinity Water in a deal over three years has been awarded to Vinci Facilities.

Affinity Water provides 900 million litres of water each day to a population of more than 3.5 million people in parts of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Surrey, the London Boroughs of Harrow and Hillingdon and parts of the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing and Enfield. The company also supplies water to the Tendring peninsula in Essex and the Folkestone and Dover areas of Kent

The teams from Vinci Facilities’ technical services operation will be providing support services to the Affinity Water Estate, which consists of approximately 450 operational production sites. These range from pumping stations and treatment works, to reservoirs and water towers, the smallest of which are roadside installations and the largest, major treatment works, with multiple buildings, and infrastructure spread over a site.

Vinci’s teams will be delivering planned and reactive maintenance to the local offices and depot sites (including statutory testing); external works such as grounds maintenance and pest control activities to all sites as well as a range of built fabric maintenance services.

“With this new contract VINCI Facilities is proving that it is fast establishing itself as an experienced facilities service provider in the utility and industrial sector with contracts with Affinity Water, Canals River Trust as well as Tata Steel Europe,” explained Tony Raikes, MD, VINCI Facilities. “It also illustrates that we are judged on our skills and expertise across a range of markets and can deliver quality FM services to any of the UK’s organisations, no matter if they public or private.”
