Full Bins and Philbin Star in FM Digest

Ben Waber, a globally-recognised expert in people analytics, collaboration and wearable technology, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at BIFM's ThinkFM conference to be hosted by former Tomorrow’s World presenter Maggie Philbin OBE.

Returning for a seventh year on Thursday June 8, ThinkFM takes place at the Science Museum exploring the theme of technology and ‘FM in a Connected World’.

Waber's words

Waber is the leader of Humanyze, a behavioural analytics company that uses wearable sensing technology. His work centres around the use of real-time data flows to rethink the management of people, physical space, corporate planning and training.

When he appears at ThinkFM, Waber will investigate how people communicate with each other in the physical and digital world and how their communication patterns impact happiness, individual performance and organisational success.

BIFM's Judith Cutts said: “Facilities management is all about creating enabling environments for people and business but in the past proving the connection between the influence of that environment on the performance of those it supports has been the subject of huge amounts of debate and research. With the advancement of technology though, we are now in a new era where the speed at which these factors can be measured, monitored, analysed and acted upon has changed markedly."

The conference will be facilitated by Maggie Philbin OBE, co-founder and CEO of TeenTech, an organisation helping young people, their parents and teachers understand more about the real opportunities in science, technology and engineering.
